Databases on a secondary replica are read-only, so the grant script cannot create the user in the database.

The foglight user may still not be able to read data from these read-only replicas until the users will be synchronized.

WORKAROUND

When using new SQL Server Authentication and granting permission failed, do the following:

• Re-monitor this instance again, and then it could be monitored successfully.

When using new AD (Active Directory) Authentication and granting permission failed, do the following:

1. Re-monitor this instance again.
2. A grant permission dialog pops up. Skip the permission granting step.
3. Continue monitoring the instance, and then it could be monitored successfully.
