Unable to monitor Sybase Backup Server log file -
Description
The Sybase agent is not able to monitor the Sybase backup server log and the following error is seen in the agent log file:
... is not a Sybase Backup Server log file
- AgentErrorMessages: Backup Error Log File does not exist- AgentErrorMessages: Configuration Backup/Server Error Log Path : Non-existing or unreadable file was specified -
Cause
CAUSE 1
Entry did not contain the actual log file name
CAUSE 2
Backup error log monitoring has been added to the 7.3.2.10 and higher releases of the Sybase SAP ASE MDA agents. It is not available for RS agents.

Resolution
RESOLUTION 1
Supply the complete directory path including the actual file name when using a local FglAM.
RESOLUTION 2
Refer to Knowledgebase article 4378990 for details on adding backup error log monitoring to the MDA agent in versions 7.3.2.10 and higher.
Known issue SYFOG-100 has been logged to indicate in the release notes that backup error log monitoring is not available for RS agents.
