Removing items from a table
Most of the configuration dashboards and views offer a Remove button to delete items from a table. You can remove multiple items by selecting multiple check boxes.
To remove items:

In the table, select the check box beside each item you want to delete.

Click Remove.
A Confirmation dialog box opens, asking for confirmation to remove the selected items.

In the Confirmation dialog box, click Confirm to remove the items.
The items are removed.

Most of the configuration dashboards and views offer a Remove button to delete items from a table. You can remove multiple items by selecting multiple check boxes.
To remove items:

Defining extraction expressions

During traffic analysis, extraction expressions can be based on regular expressions, XPath queries, or JSON identifiers. In other contexts, only regular expressions are supported. For a refresher on regular expressions, see Appendix: Building regular expressions in Foglight.
When adding or editing an extraction expression, you can set the following options.

If available, select Regular Expression, xPath, or JSON, whichever option best suits the type of expression you want to use.
Pattern

When Type=Regular Expression, type the pattern you want to match in the data.

When Type=xPath, type the xPath query.
•
When Type=JSON, type the JSON identifier.
Sample Text
Type text containing the pattern you want to match. Click Run Test.
Test Results
Display only—contains the results of the test.
 

Adding, copying, and editing archivers

NOTE: If you are using an All-in-One Appliance, the Local Archiver on the appliance is registered by default. If you have no other archivers in your installation, you can ignore this procedure.
If you are using a standalone archiver appliances, you need to register them. After you register one archiver, you may want to use it as a template for other archiver definitions. For example, if you have more than one archiver in a capture group, it may be useful to start from an archiver definition that belongs to that capture group. If so, use the copy feature.
To add or update an archiver definition:

On the navigation panel, under Dashboards, click APM > Configure > Traffic Capture > Archivers.

Do one of the following:

To register a new archiver, click Add.
•
To copy an existing archiver definition, click its Copy icon.
•
To edit an existing archiver definition, click its Edit icon.

In the dialog box, specify the options. For help with options, see Defining Archivers.

Click Save.
