Opening files

You can open a file in its associated application. For example, a Word file opens in Microsoft® Word, while a batch file executes. If you need to edit a file, see Editing files.

Open the NTFS Security module.

Select a file, and select Tools | Open File or press Ctrl + O.

Right-click a file, and choose Open File.

You can select a folder in Security Explorer® and open Windows® Explorer to the same location.

To open a folder in Windows Explorer

Open the NTFS Security or Share Security module.

In the Objects pane, select a folder, and select Tools | Open with Windows Explorer.
