VMW Datacenter CPU Utilization

This rule monitors for spikes, dramatic drops, and sustained high levels in CPU utilization for a datacenter.

Conditions	State	Action
The CPU utilization is no more than 2.2 standard deviations (NumSTDevs) from the mean CPU utilization and the CPU utilization is at 90 percent or less.	Normal	None
The CPU utilization is more than 2.2 but no more than 2.8 standard deviations from the mean CPU utilization, or the CPU utilization is greater than 90 percent but not greater than 93 percent.	Warning	None
The CPU utilization is more than 2.8 standard deviations from the mean CPU utilization, or the CPU utilization is greater than 93 percent.	Critical	Send email to VMware administrator

VMW Datacenter Disk IO

This rule monitors for spikes and dramatic drops in disk IO for a datacenter.
