How to copy ACL information.
During a migration, it is possible to update ACLs with new SIDS for the objects being migrated and to remove their SID history. During a migration, the SIDs of the objects being migrated are checked against the SID History specified in the LDAP domain path box. If the SIDs of the objects being migrated are on the list, the ACLs are updated with new SIDs for the migrated objects and their SID history is cleared.
In Quest Migration Manager, it is possible to export selections in the Migration Wizard to an external text file. This external list of objects is used for mass object renaming and populating target object attributes with different values. In Secure Copy, use this text file to update ACLs. For more information on the export file, see the Quest Migration Manager for AD User Guide.
