Issues connecting RemoteScan to multiple Windows RemoteApps at once (4240626)

If multiple Windows RemoteApp connections are launched. RemoteScan will connect to the RemoteApp virtual channel connection which was launched first, but will not connect through the virtual channel to subsequent Windows RemoteApp connections.

This issue only applies to Windows RemoteApp connections which utilize a common instance of mstsc.exe and does not apply to Windows Remote Desktop connections which each have their own individual instance of mstsc.exe. When Windows Remote Desktop connections are used, RemoteScan can connect through the virtual channel of all open RDP connections.

This issue is caused when multiple Windows RemoteApp windows share the same instance of mstsc.exe. This seems to be a limitation of Microsoft virtual channels when multiple RemoteApps share a single instance or mstsc.exe.

When multiple Windows RemoteApps are running as separate instances of mstsc.exe, this issue doesn't occur.

The customer may either disable connection sharing in the Windows RemoteApp configuration or change to sharing full Windows Remote desktops instead of using RemoteApps.

One way to disable connection sharing in Windows RemoteApp is to add/modify the following line within the .rdp file using a text editor, such as notepad:
disableconnectionsharing:i:1
