Forest Recovery is failing with the below error:
"Unable to execute request (140).Failed to parse an XML string.The error code 0x800C0006 at (0, 0).Reason: The system cannot locate the object specified" -
Causa
The DFSR config files are missing during forest recovery. The registry entries for DFSR are restored to "HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\DFSR\Parameters\Replication Groups", these entries point to config files (for example in "C:\System Volume Information\DFSR\Config"). If these config files are missing the forest recovery will fail. -
Resolución
WORKAROUND:
Restore the config files from a file system backup
STATUS:
Enhancement ID RMADFE-1250 has been submitted and this has been fixed in Recovery Manager for Active Directory version 9.0.1 and higher.
