This error can be ignored if the Backups completes.
If the backup continues to fail when run from the schedule, but manually running the backup is successful, try scheduling the backup for a different time.
If the issue occurs when backing up remote DCs over a WAN, and you are storing the backups on the RMAD server, try configuring the Computer Collection to store the backups on the DC or on a network share that is closer to the DC. Copying the backup data over the WAN to the RMAD server can result in RPC failures due to the amount of data traversing the WAN.
Try restarting the Backup Agent.
Configuring smaller collections may also help to eliminate the error when backing up remote DCs.
Ensure you have the latest rollup hotfix applied.
Ensure there is sufficient freespace where the backups are being stored (Console Storage, Domain Controller Storage, or both).
