On Demand Migration Autodiscover fails to retrieve the EWS URL (4313996)

On Demand Migration (ODM) mailbox fails with the following errors:

• Error creating source session. Could not locate mailbox using Autodiscover(Could not locate mailbox using Autodiscover)
• Could not locate mailbox using Autodiscover(Could not locate mailbox using Autodiscover)
• Autodiscover failed to find the EWS URL for mailbox
• The Autodiscover service couldn't be located. The Autodiscover service couldn't be located. (The Autodiscover service couldn't be located.)

Some challenges when migrating that can be resolved by using the EWS URL for the mailbox migration.

• Migrating from a Microsoft Office 365 source tenant when it is configured in Hybrid mode.
• Post domain cutover steps see KB 4343974.
• Autodiscover records are pointed to On-premise Microsoft Exchange server, with a CNAME record to redirect the request to Office365.
• This typical Setup poses redirection challenge and On Demand Migration (ODM) fail to retrieve Exchange Web Services (EWS) URL.
• The issue can be also caused by missing consents on source tenant.

Select a custom EWS URL within the ODM, Accounts or Mailbox Dashboard tab by clicking Configure Connections.

• From within the Migration module select your Project
• Click on Accounts or Mail
• On the Dashboard tab click Configure Connections
• Select the tenant and click Edit 
• Click to the left of Advanced to expand this section
• Enter https://outlook.office365.com/EWS/Exchange.asmx" into the Custom EWS URL field
• Click Save
