When viewing the mailbox status in the Migration Manager for Exchange Console. The status never changes from "Switching" to "Switched" or "In Progress". There is also no option to manually switch the mailbox or unswitch the mailbox.
A review the MAgE (Migration Agent for Exchange) log will show the following message for the mailbox in question.
Info Cannot change the mailbox stage from 'Switching' to 'InProgress'.
To resolve this issue you must edit the SQL Database directly. Please make sure you have taken a proper backup of the SQL Database before modifying any tables.
Please make sure that you have downloaded SQL Server Management Studio and is able to connect to the project SQL Database.
1.) Open up the MMEXProject (default) database.
2.) Expand out the "Tables" folder and look for the "dbo.PERSISTENT_STATS" table.
3.) Right click and select "Edit Top 200 Rows".
4.) Find the mailbox ID that is stuck from the MAgE log and then use that to find the mailbox in the "MAILBOX_ID" list.
5.) Scroll to the right and find the "MAILBOX_STATUS" column.
6.) Change the entry to "22" and then restart the MAgE.
7.) From the Console this should have changed the state to "In Progress" and you should not be able to manually switch the mailbox.
