Following the upgrade migration fails, there are errors similar to the following in the dsa.log file: Error 0xe1100012 cannot initialize Migration Agent on host "domain controller server name" Error 0x80070424 The specified service does not exist as an installed service

Causa
This can be caused by outdated sidhistory agent files on the DCs used by DSA. -
Resolución
Stop all synchronizations and migration
Locate and delete (or rename) all of the below files from the DC giving the error:
%systemroot%\system32\AelAgentMS.exe (AelAgentMS64.exe on 64-bit DC)
%systemroot%\system32\AelAgentMS.cnt
%systemroot%\Aelita\AePAgent\PwdHlp.dll (PwdHlp64.dll on 64-bit DC)
%systemroot%\Aelita\AePAgent\AePAgent.exe (AePAgent64.exe on 64-bit DC)
%systemroot%\Aelita\AePAgent\AePAgent.log
%systemroot%\Aelita\AePAgent\PwdHlp.logIf they don't exist, reboot the DC in question or select another DC as the Preferred DC.

This is caused by an open Services.msc snap-in (in any Windows Profile, active or inactive), which prevents our tool to complete the uninstall via MSI. A reboot of the DC allows the uninstall to complete.
