When backing up the transaction log, the log is not truncated automatically. The LDF file continues to grow and eventually fills up the drive.
There may be a hanging transaction log in the file, preventing the truncation.
The truncation of log is handled by the SQL Server, and LiteSpeed has no control of such process. To resolve the issue restarting SQL Server, which should force the database to recover and rollback the transaction.
