While troubleshooting Linux or macOS endpoints KACE support may need the logs from the KACE Agent to identify issues. This KB describes how to capture the Agent's logs through terminal.
To open a terminal session on macOS:
Press ⌘ + Spacebar at the same time
Type in "Terminal" on Finder
Press Return
To open terminal in Linux through the GUI:
On most versions of Linux click on the Applications/Activities/Menu or available menu option.

To execute the KACE Agent Toolkit:
Download the KAT Tool from the Quest support site here or from the SMA over at Settings > Support > Troubleshooting Tools > KACE Agent Toolkit > Download.
1. Copy over the kat-1.0.20.zip file to the endpoint using a tool such as scp or rsync
2. Execute "unzip kat-1.0.20.zip" or the version of the downloaded tool, this filename may change as the tools get improved and new versions are released.
3. Access the Linux tool folder "cd linux"
4. By default the file is not executable, run this command to make it so. "chmod +x kapture"
5. In order to execute the KAT tool and extract the logs silently, input this command "./kapture -d -k -f KACE_KAT_logs.zip"
Once this is done, copy the kat.zip file generated by the tool back into the computer.
If the account in use is not an admin account, execute the KAT command using the "sudo" command before "./kapture -d -k -f KACE_KAT_logs.zip"
This is a very general guide, every OS may have different tools or requirements to copy files over, some basic knowledge of Unix or Unix-like systems is required.
Note: The Kapture compressed file contains a "Readme" document that can be used for reference.
