This article should help with guidance about hardware that is unsupported or soon to be unsupported with certain versions of the SMA
When we refer to supported vs unsupported in this case, we are not referring to the hardware support contract, but rather if the specific hardware is supported with a specific version of the SMA. For more information on the hardware contract, it would be necessary to contact the hardware vendor.
On 04/30/2018, KACE stopped shipping physical appliances.
Previously physical appliances, based upon Dell servers, were available with up to 5 years of hardware support.
Any physical appliance based upon the Dell 12G servers (12th Generation server, or PowerEdge R420) maintenance expired as of May 2020.
If up to 5 years of maintenance was purchased up front, any remaining Dell 13G servers expired on April 2023.
It is highly recommended that any production server (physical or virtual) be under maintenance.
