No Alarms or rules to detect SQL Server stack dump -
Descripción
A SQL Server Instance monitored by a DB_SQL_Server agent had an issue that caused a Stack Dump. The Instance was not responding, but Foglight didn't generate any alarms during this time. -
Causa
During the time of this issue, the DB_SQL_Server agent was able to collect data normally. WindowsAgent was also able to collect data normally. No Usability or Connection availability alarms fired during this time.
This state is difficult to detect with the data that DB_SQL_Server agent collects since the alarms are designed to look for Error codes.

Refer to Knowledgebase article 4311736 for details on using a Log File Monitor agent to monitor the SQL Server Error log.
STATUS:
Enhancement request number FGSS-I-87 has been submitted to Development for consideration in a future release of Foglight for SQL Server. -
