When replacing the motherboard it could unlink or remove the DR's service tag?
The service tag will show "Unknown" instead of the actual service tag. The Service Tag can be checked in the Web GUI by clicking on Support in the navigation panel. And also within the IDRAC expanding Overview and clicking on Server.
If there is no Service Tag defined the license will not install and will render the license invalid. A Service Tag is needed for the license to associate and attach to the system.
If the Service Tag displays "unknown" please follow the instruction on updating the DR's Service Tag. Ensure the correct Service Tag is utilized. The Service Tag can be found embedded in the license file. A reboot of the system is required.
While the system is recovering upon logging into the Web GUI may display a one time critical error message Critical Error: Error getting the system information: system NOTICE: FAILED : UUID: Not present: System Name: [ ] Current time Service Tag: Unknown Product Name etc. This may occur because the system is still initializing and processing the updated Service Tag.
When the DR system has fully recovered validate the Service Tag field has the correct entry within the Web GUI and also in the IDRAC.
At this point you can reattempt uploading the license without error.
