After changing the password via the "Coordinator Database Configurator" option on the Coordinator status-tray icon the Coordinator fails to start.
The following error is noted in the log:
"Login failed. The login is from an untrusted domain and cannot be used with Windows Authentication."
The account specified is valid however and can connect to the CA DB.
While this error is common of an expired password it may also occur if the server is 2008 or higher and UAC is enabled. UAC may affect saving the changes in the Coordinator Configurator tool (ConfigureDatabase.exe).
WORKAROUND 1:
1. For 6.9.5 and higher versions go to \Program Files\Quest\ChangeAuditor\Service
2. Right-Click on ConfigureDatabase.exe and select "Run as administrator". This will allow you to make changes within the Coordinator Database Configurator/Coordinator Configuration Tool and click "OK" to apply them.
