Resolution
Answer:
If you are using VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure) we recommend the below license depending on your environment.
- For Persistent VDI Instances, both Node-Locked and Concurrent licenses can be used. Please note, if you are using Node-Locked, any modification to the following directory: C:\ProgramData\erwin\Data Modeler\Licensing will invalidate the license.
- For Non-persistent VDI Instances, erwin strongly recommends using Concurrent licenses. Each time the VDI instance is restarted, the license will be invalidated. A Concurrent license can be recycled an infinite number of times.

- As a best practice, we recommend you log out of erwin before shutting down your VDI to ensure the license is properly returned.
