How to upgrade erwin Web Portal ? (4307820)

There are no executable installation file for erwin Web Portal. erwin web portal is packaged in zip format

The steps to upgrade erwin Web Portal is just a new installation of erwin Web Portal

Stop EWP windows service

1) Unzip the file to a directory user has written permission

2) run setup. bat file from the directory

3) on Application Server Tab, enable windows service and specify port (default 11680)

4) Launch Metadata Management

5) connect to existing web portal database using jdbc connection

6) Upgrade will process to update the version in your web portal database.

7) Once verified launching web portal from the new directory, manually delete the old folder of erwin Web Portal installation folder

** NOTE: you may need to request a new license if it is a release version update.

NOTE:  if you have upgraded your erwin DM client  on your workstation, Make sure upgrade erwin DM to the same version on EWP application server machine, erwin Web Portal Harvesting uses local copy of erwin DM ( as default local Engine) connect to Mart.
