Connection Failed - Reason: Login failed for user
Symptoms:
Error appears when user tries to scan SQL Server through Windows Authentication mode from the Metadata Manager module
Resolution:
When trying to scan SQL Server from Windows Authentication mode and while providing the connection parameters, please ensure to update the URL with the following changes:
URL: jdbc:jdts:sqlserver://IP_ADDRESS:PORT_NUMBER/DB_NAME;domain=(Domain_Name);useNTLMv2=true
After updating the required changes to the above URL under connection parameter, please save the changes and try scanning the DB and it would be successfully scanned with the list of tables and columns.
