This ApexSQL Search release uses a new product licensing engine and may require a license update.

Please refer to the knowledge base article here for additional information and instructions on implementing this release.

Date: May 12, 2022

Changes:

-The activation model is switched to Subscription
-The application does not support integration into SQL Server Management Studio 2012, 2014, and 2016 versions
-The application does not support integration into Visual Studio 2010, 2012, 2013, and 2015 versions
-Ignore whitespaces option is added for the Text search feature for easier control of the search scope

Known issues:

-"The 'ApexSOLSearchJnstPackage' package did not load correctly" error is encountered when the Visual Studio 2019 16.7 version is started

Fixes:
162811: A selected database from Object Explorer is not automatically targeted within Object search controls when a search is initiated from the toolbar
165044: Application default shortcuts under the Options dialog cannot be modified and saved
165047: SQL Server Management Studio stops working when the ellipsis button is clicked from the result grid under the Column value of the Text search pane and the user is connected to a remote server using Azure Active Directory - Integrated authentication
165725: "Unsaved documents cannot be cut or copied to the clipboard from the miscellaneous files project. You must save the unsaved document(s) before cutting or copying them." error message appears when either Ctrl+C or Ctrl+X command is used from the Search text box of the Text search panel
165732: The Text search feature does not find any results when the search string has either leading or trailing whitespace characters in the search phrase
165734: Initiated text search is not cancelled when the Text search pane is closed
172022: Text search feature does not work when invoked against an Azure SQL database and the user does not have access to the master database 186418: Unable to determine which connection is being used to perform either an object or data search from the drop-down list of distinct server names under the Database section
