DSP: DOM2AD: Exclude Domino objects from synchronizing to Active Directory (4315042)

Issue

DSP will skip Domino objects (Person, Group, Mail-In) when reading from the Domino Directory for a sync if the Allow Foreign Directory Synchronization field is set to "No". This is found on the Administration tab of an object document in the Domino Directory.

Solution

To exclude specific Domino objects from synchronizing, this field (AvailableForDirSync) should be set to "No" through the Notes client or to "0" (Zero) programmatically.

Note 1: the documents will still be read from the Domino Directory but will not be processed by DSP and no updates will be made to Active Directory for the objects.

Note 2: this option is not available for Room and Resource documents in the Domino Directory. For these object types a separate sync profile would be recommended using a Directory Catalog as the source Directory with individual room documents controlled through the Domino DirCat process.

Note 3: this may impact on other third party directory synchronization processes if any are in place and should be checked prior to making changes.
