In the CBMManagementTrace file the information in the image below is found, containing: "Licensing Error cannot find file \\DCName.xx.xx\Policies\Desktop Authority\Device Policy Master\slstart.ini", "Licensing Error cannot find file \\DCName.xx.xx\Policies\Desktop Authority\Device Policy Master\SLicense.ini"
The location of the ComputerManagementTrace_DayofWeek_Date.htm is located in (%windir%\Temp\Desktop Authority)
The Desktop Authority CBM Service is looking for its configuration files which by default are located in the SYSVOL share on a Domain Controller. When using the Member Server Scenario, these configuration files do not exist on the Domain Controllers.
An alternate location needs to be specified on the client machines so that the CBM service looks to the member server for its configuration files.
The following registry value needs to be set on all client machines running Desktop Authority:
Hive: HKLMKey: Software\ScriptLogic\Device Agent\Global Settings (x32 machines)
Wow6432Node\ScriptLogic\Device Agent\Global Settings (x64 machines)
Value: Machine_Sysvol_Path
Type: REG_SZ
Data: \\MemberServerName\Sharename
NOTE: THE REGISTRY VALUE NAME IS CASE SENSITIVE
Refer to our knowledge article called: Desktop Authority 9.x - How to configure a Member Server Scenario for more details about the Member Server Scenario configuration.
