A Group Policy Template GPO element was replicated to the domain and inadvertently locked down users, but deleting the element does not reset the users to their previous state.
Disabling the element or changing the status to Not Configured does not always remove the setting that was applied to the environment. In most instances, the registry key that was created by the Group Policy Template GPO needs to be removed to undo the settings configured by the executed element. First, disable the configured Group Policy Template GPO element. Click Show Registry Key inside the Group Policy Template GPO element or view the SLTrace.htm/SLagent_Logon.log on the affected machine to locate the modified registry key. Finally, use the Registry object in Desktop Authority Console to create an element that will delete the erroneous Group Policy Template GPO registry key.
Remove the affected registry key and the settings configured by the Group Policy Template element will be removed.
