Spotlight on Oracle 10.4 - Release Notes

Enabling the SNMP Protocol

Spotlight is unable to display Open Ports information if the SNMP protocol has not been installed on:

  • The Windows machine under diagnosis, AND
  • The machine running the Spotlight client.

Enabling the SNMP protocol

  1. Open the Control Panel | Programs and Features.
  2. Click Turn Windows features on or off.
  3. Enable Simple Network Management Protocol.
  4. Follow the installation instructions.
