After recovery terminates, open the database for use by issuing the following command at the SQL*Plus prompt:
With the User Managed backup method, Plug‑in for Oracle lets you rename the Control File, Datafiles, and Archive Log Directory or Individual Archived Log files during restore. Renaming files can be useful if you do not want to overwrite the existing version and want to create a copy of the file. You can also relocate the files to a different directory while restoring it with the plug-in.

In the Navigation pane, click Create Restore Job, select Plug‑in for Oracle from the Plugin Type list. |

IMPORTANT: When renaming individual archive log files during a restore job, perform media recovery with SET AUTORECOVERY OFF, and enter the archive log filenames manually to indicate the revised filenames. |
When renaming an Archive Log Directory, all Archived Logs are restored to the directory specified.
