Upgrade Quest Protect

The latest version of Quest Protect is 1.9.0.

Quest Protect 5.8.3 requires Management Server version 5.9.8, or Foglight Evolve 9.3.

To upgrade Quest Protect to the latest version:

Download the following packages from Quest Support Portal:

Quest Protect Dashboard version 1.9.0 (which includes the vUsage-Feedback-5_8_3.car, DRP-5_8_3.car, and Protect-1_9_0.car cartridge files)

On the Cartridge Inventory dashboard, install the following cartridge files. Do not remove the older version of these cartridges. Install the new versions over the older versions. The sequence of cartridge installation is important because of their dependencies. For cartridge installation instructions, see “Installing Foglight cartridges” in the Foglight Administration and Configuration Help.

Upgrade Foglight for vCloud Director

The latest version of Foglight for vCloud Director is 5.8.3.

Foglight for vCloud Director 5.8.3 requires Management Server version 5.9.8, or Foglight Evolve 9.3.

To upgrade Foglight for vCloud Director to the latest version:

Download the vCloud-Director-5_8_3.car package from Quest Support Portal.

Navigate to the Cartridge Inventory dashboard, and install the vCloud-Director-5_8_3.car file.

On the Agent Status dashboard, click Deploy Agent Package to deploy the VCloudDirectorAgent package to desired hosts.

On the vCloud Environment dashboard, on the Administration tab, create vCloud Director agent instances, and edit their properties, as required.

Activate the newly created vCloud Director agent instances, and start their data collection.

Upgrade Foglight for NetVault

The latest version of Foglight for NetVault is 1.5.0.

Foglight for NetVault 1.5.0 requires Management Server version 5.9.8, or Foglight Evolve 9.3.

To upgrade Foglight for NetVault to the latest version:

Download the following packages from Quest Support Portal:

Foglight for NetVault version 1.5.0 (which includes the vUsage-Feedback-5_8_3.car, DRP-5_8_3.car, and NetVault-1_5_0.car cartridge files)

On the Cartridge Inventory dashboard, install the following cartridge files. Do not remove the older version of these cartridges. Install the new versions over the older versions.
