Upgrade Foglight Hybrid Cloud Manager

The latest version of Foglight Hybrid Cloud Manager is 1.9.0.

Foglight Hybrid Cloud Manager 1.9.0 requires Management Server version 5.9.8, or Foglight Evolve 9.3.

To upgrade Foglight Hybrid Cloud Manager to the latest version:

Download the following packages from Quest Support Portal:
Foglight Hybrid Cloud Manager version 1.9.0, which includes the following cartridge files:

DRP-5_8_3.car

OptimizerAutomation-5_8_3.car

CommonAnalytics-5_8_3.car

Deactivate all agent instances.

On the Cartridge Inventory dashboard, install and enable the following cartridge files. Do not remove the older version of these cartridges. Install version 1.9.0 over the older version. The sequence of cartridge installation is important because of their dependencies:

On the Cloud Manager dashboard, on the Administration tab, update all of the existing cloud manager agent instances.

Activate all cloud manager agent instances.

Upgrade Foglight Capacity Director

The latest version of Foglight Capacity Director is 5.8.3.

Foglight Capacity Director 5.8.3 requires Management Server version 5.9.8, or Foglight Evolve 9.3. It also requires Foglight for VMware version 5.8.3 (or later) and Foglight for Hyper-V version 5.8.3 (or later).

To upgrade Foglight Capacity Director to the latest version:

Download the following packages from Quest Support Portal:

Foglight for VMware version 5.8.3 (which includes the vUsage-Feedback-5_8_3.car, DRP-5_8_3.car, Virtual-VMware-5_8_3.car, and Virtual-VMware-Admin-5_8_3.car cartridge files)

Foglight Change Analyzer version 5.8.3 (which includes the CommonAnalytics-5_8_3.car and ChangeAnalyzer-5_8_3.car cartridge files)

Foglight for Hyper-V version 5.8.3 (which includes the vUsage-Feedback-5_8_3.car, DRP-5_8_3.car, Virtual-HyperV-Admin-5_8_3.car, and Virtual-HyperV-5_8_3.car cartridge files)
•
Foglight for SCVMM 5.8.3 (which includes the SCVMM.car cartridge file)
•
Foglight Resource Optimizer Automation version 5.8.3 (which includes the OptimizerAutomation-5_8_3.car cartridge file)

Foglight Capacity Director version 5.8.3 (which includes the Capacity-Director-5_8_3.car cartridge file)
