Resolved issues and enhancements

This 5.8.3 release of Foglight for vCloud Director accompanies the release of Foglight Evolve 9.3 and Foglight for Virtualization, Enterprise Edition 8.9.3. It includes the following resolved issues and enhancements:

• Fixed an issue where creating vCloud agent through Add button in FIPS-compliant mode might fail. (VCD-252)
• Fixed an NPE that may happen during vCloud cell collections. (VCD-254)
• Fixed the no enum constant exception for vCloud. (VCD-255)
• Fixed the gaps in vCloud collections by using the submission timestamp provided by FglAM to submit data. (VCD-256)

Upgrade and compatibility

Foglight Evolve 9.3 or Foglight for Virtualization, Enterprise Edition 8.9.3 includes Foglight for vCloud Director version 5.8.3.

Foglight for vCloud Director supports VMware® vCloud Director® 9.5, 9.7, and all versions of VMware vSphere® supported by Foglight for VMware.

The following is a list of Foglight product versions and platforms compatible with this release.

To upgrade to the latest version of Foglight for vCloud Director:

1. Deactivate all vCloud Director agent instances.
2. On the Cartridge Inventory dashboard, install the vCloud-Director-5_8_3.car file. Do not remove the older version of this cartridge. Install version 5.8.3 over the older version. For cartridge installation instructions, see “Installing Foglight cartridges” in the Foglight Administration and Configuration Help.
3. On the vCloud Environment dashboard, on the Administration tab, update all of the existing vCloud Director agent instances.
4. Activate all vCloud Director agent instances.
