Customers inquire about why spotlight on oracle does not run as a service and if its possible to run it automatically from windows startup.
Ursache

Spotlight on Oracle is an application, not designed to run in the background as a service.
Lösung

WORKAROUND:

For Spotlight on Oracle to initiate automatically from the windows startup, please follow the steps below:

1-   Navigate to the path below:
C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Quest Software\Spotlight on Oracle

2-   Copy the Spotlight on Oracle icon

3-   Navigate to the startup folder for your user:
C:\Users\<username?\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

4-   Paste the spotlight on oracle shortcut access

5-   This will allow the application to start once your user starts windows.
