ADVL cloning process fails with different errors due to inaccessible log file location -
Beschreibung
Consider the following scenario:
You are cloning a machine which has a C and a D drive. Without Recovery Manager for Active Directory, the log files location has been set to the D drive. For the cloning process, only the C drive is selected.
The ADVL cloning process may fail with different errors hence it can be difficult to identify the root cause. The typical symptoms are:
Cloning process does not finish or halts at setting up network related settings.
During the cloning process, VMware Tools are not installed.
No Forest Recovery Agent log files are available.

Ursache
The Forest Recovery Agent log file cannot be created along with other log files which causes an issue with continuing the cloning process. -
