NetVault installation script fails on ESXi server (4044332)

Symptoms:
When installing NetVault on an ESXi Server the script fails with the follwoing message:

installer invoke in /vmss/netvault using default/temp tar-invalid tar magic


Reason:
VMware ESX relies on a Linux operating system also know as the Service Console.
This service console makes it possible to run scripts and install applications such as backup solutions and others.
The service console has been removed from ESXi to reduce I/O, thus it is impossible to run the NetVault installation script on any ESXi server.
