A. Please verify that the User and Password are valid and have permission to access SharePoint.
- Open the Browser, clear cookies and passwords then restart the browser. After you have done this, please try to connect using Essentials.
B. If you are trying to connect to a SharePoint On-Premise site using SSL (i.e https://sp2013) you need to import the certificate into Essentials, follow the steps below:
1. Close Essentials for O365
2. Open a cmd (As an Admin)
3. Run the command below, replacing <CERT_PATH>,<CERT_NAME> and <CERT_EXT> accordingly:
"C:\Program Files\Quest\Essentials\jre\bin\keytool.exe" -import -trustcacerts -alias sp2013cert -file "<CERT_PATH>\<CERT_NAME>.<CERT_EXT>" -keystore "C:\Program Files\Quest\Essentials\jre\lib\security\cacerts"
Note: Default password: changeit
4. Re-Launch Essentials and try to Connect to SharePoint
