How to run a VBscript utilizing the K1000 Scripting (4314950)

This article will show you how to run a VBscript utilizing the K1000 Scripting.

If you are in a situation where you want to run a VBscript from the K1000 scripting tool, follow these steps:

1. Once in the scripting section, select Choose Action.
2. From the drop down menu, select Add New Item.
3. A new script will appear.  Choose whether or not you want it to be an Online or Offline KScript. Provide it a Name and a Description.
4. Select your normal criteria as you would for any other script along with what OS versions, and machines or machine labels you would like this ran on.
5. Under Dependencies:, click Add new denpendency Upload your VBscript here.
6. Under Policy or Job Rules:, click Add Task Section.
7. Under On Success, click on Add. Choose Launch a program
8. In the Directory field, type in $(KACE_SYS_DIR)
9. In the File: field, type in cscript.exe
10. In the Parameters: field, type in $(KACE_DEPENDENCY_DIR)\yourscriptname.vbs
11. Click Save Changes.
12. Click Save at the bottom of the page.

Note: Sometimes, if we didn't get the expected result same as double clicking the yourscriptname.vbs file directly, please consider changing different options in "Windows Run As" in scripting setting.
