Patching Enhancement Bundle for KACE SMA 10.0 (4278284)

KACE has released a bundle to provide enhancements to the patching module for the System Management Appliance(SMA) version 10.0.

This bundle contains the following:

• Mac OS X 10.15 support
• MS SQL Server patch support
• Enhancements to ensure compatibility with future patches
• Fixes to detection failures involving replication shares

Note: Version 10.1 is available for download at this time. Upgrading to 10.1 is the preferred solution, however, the enhancement bundle is available in the resolution section below if upgrading is not possible at this time.

Note: The Patching Enhancement Bundle causes the SMA to REBOOT. Please plan accordingly and make sure to have a full backup off of the appliance prior to applying the hotfix.

To apply the Patching Enhancement Bundle:

1. Download the attachment at the bottom of this article
2. Plan downtime and complete below at the start of that downtime
3. Go to Settings | Backup Settings and click Run Now
   1. Complete a full backup
   2. Once completed and confirmed complete, remove the backup from the SMA to a network location
4. Go to Settings | Appliance Updates | Manually Update | Choose File
   1. Navigate to the file download in step 1
5. Click on Update after choosing the Patching Enhancement Bundle

Once the box is back up from the reboot, a patch download will be required.
