Error when trying to import or export with MS Access: "Could not load the Microsoft Access Database Engine..." -
Beschreibung
When trying to import / export table data from / to an Access database file, the following error is given:
"Could not load the Microsoft Access Database Engine. This is not the full Microsoft Access product, just the redistributable engine. It must be the same bit version (32 or 64) as Toad".

Ursache
The bit version of Toad must match with the Access bit version in order for either the Import or Export to work.

Lösung
Verifiy the current bit version of Toad and of the Access locally installed. Adjust the installation of Toad or Access as needed.
i.e. 64 bit Toad can only import/export with 64 bit MS Access. And 32 bit Toad will only work with 32 bit MS Access.
Note: If reinstalling Toad to change the bit version, keep in mind that Toad requires an Oracle Client that matches it's bit version also.
i.e. 64 bit Toad can only connect using a 64-bit Oracle client. And similarly 32-bit Toad only connects using a 32-bit Oracle Client.
To check the version and bit of your Toad for Oracle, go to the Help menu | Support Bundle.
To check the version and bit of your MS Office, follow the steps below:1) Start a Microsoft Office program (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).2) Click the File tab in the ribbon.3) Select Help in the left column (Or Account if you are using Office 2013 or newer. If using Outlook 2013, click Office Account).4) Find 'About Microsoft [Program Name]' in the right column.5) Review the version information (e.g., Microsoft® [Program Name]® (15.0.4771.1000) MSO (15.0.4771.1001) 32-bit) on top of the new window to determine whether you are using a 32- or 64-bit version. -

Toad should not be restricted by OS bit version. This should only be an issue if working with import/export from Access. Other than that, Toad should still work fine, even with a different bit version of Access installed locally.
