There're three ways of doing this. Two of them require console level access:
Option A:
1. Turn on or reboot the managed system
2. During Power-On Self-Test (POST), press <F2> when F2 = System Setup appears in the upper right corner of the screen.
3. On the System Setup Main Menu, click iDRAC Settings, System configuration, Users
Option B:
1. Turn on or reboot the managed system.
2. During Power-On Self-Test (POST), press <F2> when F2 = System Setup appears in the upper right corner of the screen.
3. On the System Setup Main Menu, click iDRAC Settings → Reset iDRAC Configurations to Defaults.
*If you are working remotely, connectivity is lost while the iDRAC resets. Reset to defaults takes approximately five minutes and iDrac network settings need to be reconfigured.
Option C:
If there's a good, reliable, stable connection to the DR through SSH. Then the iDRAC could be reset and reconfigured with the following DR commands:
maintenance --remote_access --racreset
maintenance --remote_access --enable --setstatic_ip --ip a.b.c.d --netmask a.b.c.d --gateway a.b.c.d
Default credentials are as follow:
User: root
