After Upgrade to 3.7 Exchange 2003 Subscribers can no longer see Free/busy info from Calendar Sync. -
Description
In a collaboration where Calendar Syncronization are used to publish free/busy information. Exchange 2003 branches no longer receive free/busy updates to the Schedule + Free Busy public folder after upgrade to Collaboration Services version 3.7

Cause
The Default behavior has changed for Calendar Publications/subscriptions in Collaboration services 3.7. This is due to reducing support for legacy free/busy in newer versions of Exchange. -
Resolution
WORKAROUND:
- On the subscribing Collaboration services server stop the Collaboration Services Watchdog, Synchronization, and Logging services via the Services management console.
- Open the Registry Editor and navigate to the following key:
On 64bit servers: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Aelita\AelitaCollaborationServices
On 32bit servers: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Aelita\AelitaCollaborationServices - Create a DWORD value "BypassFBForCalSync" and set the value to 0.
- Restart all Collaboration Services via the Services Management console.
- Perform a Republish of Calendar Data to ensure all Free/busy information is correctly populated at the Exchange 2003 branches.
