Description

When using CMN, you see that all of the groups from the primary directory are being selected. This is causing Primary Key Constraint issues in the CMN log files. Groups are not being created as contact objects within Active Directory,
Cause

The cause of this issue is the Lotus Domino LDAP configuration. By default unless you change the Directory Assistance Database, the groups will be displayed from the primary directory and not the secondary directory.
As there are duplicate system groups (LocalDomainServers), then the CMN task aborts with the Primary Constraint error.
Resolution

To resolve this issue you need to configure Lotus Domino to provide LDAP reads from a Secondary Directory. To do this you need to ;
1. Add the Primary Domino Directory to the Directory Assistance Database and set it as search order 1. Make it only available to Notes clients and not available via LDAP.
2. Set the Secondary Database to be a search order of 2. Make sure this is enabled for LDAP Clients.
3. Make sure the Secondary Domino Directory is Full Text Indexed, and it’s set to immediate updates.
4. Restart the server, and groups will only be selected by CMN from the Secondary Directory.
It is also good practice to use a dedicated CMN LDAP Account on Lotus Domino, and to deny access to this primary domino directory (names.nsf) on the ACL Control List. You can do this by explicitly adding the account, and setting it as a person, with no access.
