CMN DS does not mail enable existing AD user objects. AD user objects are non mail enabled and have the Domino SMTP address populated in the mail attribute.
CMN identifies the Domino users, but lists the users as "source object not mapped" no other error is provided.
If the AD User object's mail attribute SMTP address is removed CMN will create a contact object. The CMN AD account has domain admin/enterprise admin rights to all AD objects.
To resolve this issue make sure that the following is checked:
Update Typed Object.
The pupose of this checkbox when clicked, will update objects that are Users in addition to the normal Contacts. Without it checked it will only update objects (Contacts) that it creates.
Also make sure that the additional Script is removed from the Update Filters. See 2nd and 3rd screenshots.

Note: Ensure that the Directory Connector Service is restarted. If using the Services MMC, then please wait a further 10-15 seconds whilst the Quick Connect Service completes its startup routine.
