Custom searches are bound to a user account. If the user account no longer exists, the search cannot be seen or modified via the client.
Find the alert name, set the owner ID to Default, and set the Folder ID to a public folder. This will move the searches to the Public folder.
1. Identify the search GUID with query like:
SELECT [QueryID]
,[FolderID]
,[QueryName]
,[OwnerID]
FROM [ChangeAuditor].[Query].[Information]
Where QueryName like 'xxxxx'
2. Update the OwnerID to default:
Update Query.Information Set OwnerID='18792A24-3142-4FE9-85E7-11B9C44AE8E2' where QueryID like 'xxxxx'
3. Identify the public folder GUID to place the search/alert:
SELECT [FolderID]
,[ParentFolderID]
,[FolderName]
,[OwnerID]
FROM [ChangeAuditor].[Query].[Folder]
Where FolderName like 'xxxxx'
4. Update the FolderID to be a public folder viewable in the Client:
Update Query.Information Set FolderID='xxxxx' where QueryName like 'xxxxx'
5. Close/re-open the ChangeAuditor Client and disable the alert-enabled search.
