Agent is slow to initialize -
Description
After restarting the Agent, it takes a long time to initialize, or does not initialize at all. The following entry is noted in the Agent log;
[ERROR] Error: cannot create shared memory context (258)
OR
[WARN] Failed to get agent status.

Cause
This error has been observed when somehow the customer has accrued multiple instances of the NPSrvHost.exe process in memory. Likely something to do with frequent activity starting/stopping the agent, which in this case has left some orphaned instance of the process. The agent appears to be running and sending events now but may not show running properly in this state with the additional warning below reported: -
Resolution
Check and make sure only 1 instance of NPSrvHost.exe and 1 instance (if applicable) of ServiceStatusTray.exe are in memory on the server. A reboot will also clear this condition.
