On opening the Change Auditor client as an Administrator some items under the Administration tab, such as Purge and Archive are missing:
The easiest way to resolve is to copy the AzManXmlStore.xml from a working environment as follows:
- Close the Change Auditor Client and any browsers running the web portal.
- Make a backup of the current azmanxmlstore.xml in C:\Program Files\Quest\ChangeAuditor\Service\
- Copy the attached file and unzip it to C:\Program Files\Quest\ChangeAuditor\Service
- Open MMC and select File | Add/remove snap-in
- Select Authorization Manager | Add and OK
- Right Click Authorization manager | Open Authorization Store
- Check XML file and browse to C:\Program Files\Quest\ChangeAuditor\Service\AzManXmlStore.xml and click OK.
- Expand Role assignments and under each role remove any "Unknown Accounts" and add the required accounts\groups. To be sure of what was previously set, start a new instance of MMC and open open the old azmanxmlstore.xml and match the groups.
- Once the role assignments are added, do not make any other changes and close MMC.
- Open the change auditor client and see if the issue is resolved.
