Description
The following error is displayed when installing a new Change Auditor Coordinator in a different Active Directory Forest than the Forest the SQL Server hosting the ChangeAuditor database is in:
The Credentials for the account ‘account_name’ are not valid. (error code is 1326)

Cause
The Active Directory Forest that the Change Auditor Coordinator is being installed in does not have a valid trust with the Active Directory Forest the SQL server resides in. -
Resolution
SQL Authentication must be used to connect to the SQL Server in another Forest if a valid trust is not in place. For additional details, please refer to the Multi-Forest Deployment section of the Change Auditor Installation guide:
