Can Change Auditor install to a database prepared in advance?
Description
A Change Auditor Administrator would like to be able to pre-create a blank database with provisioned DBO access for the CA service account before installing a Coordinator for the first time.
When attempting this the following error was observed while installing the Change Auditor Coordinator:
"invalid object name 'dbo.SystemProperty'
Cause
This issue is caused by creating an empty Change Auditor database prior installing the Coordinator. If an empty database exist during the installation of the Coordinator, the install process will assume a prior installation exist and try to acquire the configuration by reading the dbo.SystemProperty table, since it does not exist, it will throw a generic invalid object name exception.
Resolution
WORKAROUND
Remove any manually created (empty) Change Auditor database
Allow Change Auditor to create it's own database.
STATUS
The Documentation will be updated to note that a manually created database cannot be used.
