1) Start Wbemtest.exe from RUN prompt.
2) Press Connect
3) For 6.0 thru 6.9.3 versions of ChangeAuditor, type the Namespace as root\Dell\changeauditor.
For 6.9.4 and higher versions, type the Namespace as root\Quest\changeauditor.
For 5.x version the Namespace should be root\Questsoftware\changeauditor.
4) Press Connect
5) Click "Query" on next screen
6) Type SELECT * FROM CAAD_EVENT and click apply for 6.x version (or later). Query for 5.x version would be SELECT * FROM CAAD_Alertevent
This should list batches and WMI alerts as they are generated.
7) If your coordinator does not seem to be processing the alert, Check the Coordinator database--->expand ChangeAuditor Database within SQL management studio--->check within Table DBO.SYSTEMPROPERTY. The Coordinator server name should be listed under 'PropValue' where PropKey equals 'WMIServer'. Ensure the Coordinator server name is the short-name in all capital letters.
