1. Either the Vitual Centre Server Service, is not running
2. Firewall is preventing connection to ESX host or VC
3. The machine running the ChangeAuditor Client cannot connect to the remote ESX Server
4. If you running 7.1.1 client make sure you have the latest maintenance release 7.1.1.20087 as this was a bug in the 7.1.1 agent fixed on this release.
If 1 & 2 are not the problem, run Wireshark from the Changeauditor Machine that have the CA Client installed when trying to make the connection in the Vmware Template. do the results show the IP of the remote ESX servers? If yes then Contact Support
If no, please install Client onto a different machine and test.
If this fails Contact Support
The underlying problem is the connection from the machine running the CA client and the ESX hosts / VC, not a ChangeAuditor Fault
