For all Coexistence issues we need the following information:
· Version of Coexistence being used at the time of the issue
· Version of Exchange
· Version of Domino on Mail servers
· Version of Domino on Coexistence server
· Customer’s steps to reproduce issue
Additionally, the following data is required for Free Busy, Dirsync and BTCal issues.
Free Busy - Domino
· notes.ini file OR
· notes.ini settings to generate logs:
o BTCOEX_LOGDATA=11 - logs request and response data to the files, not the console
o BTCOEX_SERVER_LOG=6 - log apache axis status of OL-Domino responses to btserver.log
o BTCOEX_CLIENT_LOG=6 - log apache axis status of Notes-Exchange requests to btclient.log
o BTCOEX_LOG=8 - log all BT code to output.log
· logs\btclient.log file
· logs\btserver.log file
· data\IBM_TECHNICAL_SUPPORT\output.log file
· data\logs.nsf file - domino console log
· event log
DirSync - Domino
· data\logs.nsf file - domino console log
· sql log messages from the dbo.Coex_Log table
DirSync - Exchange
· event log
· sql log messages from the dbo.Coex_Log table
BTCal
· nsd file, if it exists, from the time of the crash
· log.nsf from Domino server from the time of the crash
· all mailboxes from the time of the crash
o btexchange.box
o mail.box, mail1.box, mail2.box, etc.
· btlog.log from the logging directory (hoping they have btloglevel=2 in notes.ini)
· btcache.log (file will be available if btlogcache=1 in the notes.ini)
Notes: The log will show if the problem is inbound or outbound which determines which mail box files are needed for troubleshooting. If it is an inbound mail issue we need the mail.box files (all of them) and if outbound we need the btexchange.box. But it is usually easier to request all to make sure that the messages needed for troubleshooting are not lost.
If the btloglevel=2 is not set in the notes.ini file, development may require the customer to do this in order to be able to troubleshoot and provide a solution.
The btcache.log file is a lower priority, and is generally needed to troubleshoot issues with calendar processing.
