Huge overruns using TPC E benchmark -
Description
Iterations are taking much longer than expected when running a TPC-E benchmark on an Oracle 12cR1 database.
The messages tab shows:
Agent(GBWS1789) Error: TradeUpdate Fetch Frame3 failure. Transaction "TradeUpdate Transaction" run failed by virtual user 1 in agent 1 of XXX -
Cause
Log in the Support Bundle shows error below:
Transaction "TradeUpdate Transaction" run failed by virtual user 4 in agent 1 of GBWS1789
ORA-01000: maximum open cursors exceeded
ORA-00604: error occurred at recursive SQL level 2
ORA-01000: maximum open cursors exceededThe maximum of opened cursors a session can have at once is not enough

Resolution
Increase the number of open cursors and run the test again
